I eat the whole pot in one sitting when I make it. Very similar to the original unhealthy nonvegan version. It's all about which vegan butter and nut milk you use.
I’ve tried almost ever vegan mac n cheese and i’d definitely have to say this one is the best. I added unsweetened almond milk and earth balance vegan butter and to me it tasted like Kraft Mac n cheese. If you were a Velveeta kinda person I would recommend. My little sister who aren’t even vegan ate it up dude. You won’t regret buying this!
This is my new favorite vegan mac and cheese, and I've tried a lot! I thought I'd never have that old Kraft style again, but this is the closest to it I've ever had. I like the Daiya cheddar for most like old Kraft deluxe style, but this is most like regular style. There's a kind with pumpkin flavor I've seen locally that looks the same on the box, but I did not care for the pumpkin flavor. THIS is the one! So far I've been making it with almond milk and a little Earth Balance organic margarine, and I might try it with a different vegan milk.
I have tried about every vegan mac'n'cheese on the market and just never was quite satisfied with them. I bought this one and was so happy I did. It's the closest to real mac'n'cheese and doesn't seem to have that fake cheese flavor like every other mac'n'cheese does. Don't get this one confused with the other one that's made with pumpkin though.
I have to agree that this tastes the most like the non-vegan blue box so if you liked that, you will probably like this. I use a little less milk than it calls for sometimes for stronger cheddar flavor but the noodles are perfect and to me it really does taste very similar.
