It showcases a supple mouthfeel and a finish marked by warm spices and vibrant fruit.

Taste and Flavor Profile

Aroma & Bouquet

Expect a captivating bouquet of black fruits like blackcurrant and blackberry, alongside hints of crushed raspberry and spices. The oak notes are restrained, allowing the fruit's grace to shine through while adding depth to the aromatic profile.

Smooth & Finish

The finish is smooth and warm, characterized by lingering spices and bright fruit notes. The wine’s supple texture and balanced structure contribute to a satisfying and prolonged finish.

Food Pairing

This wine pairs excellently with rich dishes such as roasted meats, grilled lamb, or a hearty beef stew. Its balance of fruit and spice complements these foods beautifully.

Who Is It For?

Ideal for those who appreciate a refined Bordeaux blend with a blend of classic Merlot richness and Cabernet Franc’s aromatic complexity. It's perfect for connoisseurs and enthusiasts seeking a wine with aging potential and sophisticated flavor.

Who Is It Not For?

It may not be suited for those who prefer lighter, less complex wines or those who seek a more fruit-forward, less structured profile.

THE WINERY

Château Beauséjour is located on the left bank of the Dordogne River, atop the Montagne Saint Émilion hillside, just 2.5 miles (4 km) from Saint Émilion. The estate spans 37 acres (15 hectares), with 30 acres (12 hectares) of vines. The vineyard's chalky-clay soil on a limestone base, combined with an average vine age of 55 years, contributes to the wine's distinctive character.

The estate's impressive buildings, including the castle and chai, and its exceptional vineyard location, highlight the prestige of Château Beauséjour. With vines planted as far back as 1901 and 1946, the estate produces wines of remarkable quality, guided by the expertise of Stéphane Derenoncourt since the 2005 vintage. This heritage and the estate's unique terroir make Château Beauséjour a prime example of the Montagne Saint Émilion appellation.
