Caladoc, a unique French varietal born from the crossing of Malbec and Grenache, captures the essence of Southern France's winemaking traditions. This wine reflects the intensity and depth of flavor characteristic of the region, offering a delightful blend of dark fruit flavors and earthy undertones. Domaine Ricardelle de Lautrec, where this wine originates, is nestled in the scenic village of Coursan and has been dedicated to organic farming since 1999 under the guidance of winemaker Lionel Boutié. With meticulous attention to detail in both vineyard and cellar practices, this wine embodies both heritage and modernity.

About the Winery

Domaine Ricardelle de Lautrec is a historic vineyard situated just outside the village of Coursan, at the crossroads of three prestigious wine regions: the Clape, Minervois, and Corbières. The 40-hectare estate is bordered by the ancient Via Domitia canal, which has influenced the vineyard's rich history and connection to the land. Since 1999, under the leadership of Lionel Boutié, the estate has embraced organic farming methods, bringing a renewed focus on sustainability and respect for nature. Boutié’s commitment to organic farming started as a risk, but it has since proven to yield tremendous benefits in both the quality of the wine and the health of the environment. His passion for sustainable winemaking and his curiosity have driven Domaine Ricardelle de Lautrec to become a respected name in organic viticulture.
