ABOUT THE WINE
Cabernet Sauvignon (44%), Merlot (31%), Syrah (17%) Grenache (5%)
This Rose is a combination of saignee and direct-to-press from Santa Ynez Bordeaux varieties and Paso Robles Rhone varieties.
The majority of this wine is saigneed from Cabernet and Merlot grapes from an exclusive vineyard property in the Santa Ynez Valley. This portion was aged in a combination of stainless steel and neutral French oak. The balance is Paso Robles Syrah and Grenache, picked early with vibrant acidity, which was pressed and fermented and aged for 5 months in stainless steel.
Malolactic fermentation was arrested to maintain the wine's natural brightness and zing.
