I prefer this to Just Egg. Really nice texture.
Pumfu is delicious and unlike Hempfu is very similar in both taste and texture to extra firm tofu. I actually think it tastes a little bit better. But if you're worried, the taste is so subtle that it's really a blank slate, much more similar to tofu than Hempfu. It's not dry, crumby or mealy and it holds very well. It is very dense though so a 4oz serving is actually pretty filling. Looking forward to this product expanding into retail!
I had been wanting to try this for awhile. This is very firm and works excellent as an egg alternative. I had shifted from soy tofu to hempfu, and now this. I will still use the hempfu, but the pumfu is a really great alternative!
Pumfu is amazing! Soy doesn't agree with me that well and I was bummed to lose out on the versatility of tofu. Wow, Pumfu to the rescue! We love it. The flavor is so god, mild, and very adaptable. The texture is delicious. We like it sautéed in coconut oil with coconut aminos. I can't wait to make many more dishes with it. Faux-Egg salad coming up next! Thanks Pumfu makers for giving us a great alternative to soy.
Amazing! I have not eaten tofu for years because of the soy. I saw Pumfu in the store, and since I love pumpkin seeds I thought "why not"? It is SO GOOD!!! I made a quiche and also cubed it and seasoned it and put it in the air fryer -- and I could have just taken toothpicks and served it like that! IT IS THAT GOOD! I could eat it right out of the pkg. Who doesn't like pumpkin seeds?
