I recommend this product
Good and nutritional
I was expecting to be purchasing nutritional yeast flakes but instead I got this. It doesn't disappoint though, it adds a nice bitter cheesy taste and a major vitamin boost to any savory food.

Just like in Germany
My Dad is German and his mom used to send him Vitam in her care packages. After she passed away, he couldn't find it in the US and things like marmite and vegemite just didn't taste the same. This year I decided to try searching again for a US distributor, and found it here. I ordered it for my Dad and he says it tastes just like the German version. A+ guess we've found a place to order it from.

My kryptonite lol
After having this in Austria last December, and forgetting what it was called, I came back to the States searching relentlessly for it. All I could find was Marmite and Vegemite. Both are too salty for me. One night I had a dream about Vitam (lol) and since I finally remembered the name, I was able to search for it online and I found it here! It shipped really fast and tastes exactly like the Vitam I had in Austria. I'm in love. Thank you Vegan Essentials.com

Interesting flavor
When you open the jar and stick a spoon inside, it has the consistency of caramel sauce that's been in the fridge: it's thick and sticky. It definitely has that umami essence. If anyone is familiar with vienna sausages or even those small smoked sausages at the grocery store, that's what it reminded me of with its smell and taste. When I made a vegan cheese sandwich, a small smear of this spread really added a sophisticated taste and added that savory note I sometimes crave. I would recommend this product, and I might order this again.
