You know what they say, “A minute on the lips, forever on the hips!” While everyone’s food requirements may differ, we can all agree that we could do better with healthy vegan snacks!
What would we even consider healthy vegan snacks? For starters, we picked some that’re free from artificial flavors and colors. We like those that are preservative-free, too. Sure, sweet snacks are made with sugar, but we chose some that are made with natural sugars and not refined or processed ones.
We’ve got a lot of snack ideas for vegans and we thought of a fun way to list them out! In the section below, you’ll see we’ve categorized them by taste and texture! And we’ve also added a little bonus for snacking on the go and snacks perfect for sharing.
For the Salty Cravings
1. Lesser Evil Popcorn
What movie experience would be complete without popcorn? Popcorn, like the ones from Lesser Evil, brings the crunch and the flavor. You’ll find flavors like Himalayan Gold Butter and "No Cheese" Cheesiness here in Vegan Essentials.
Popcorn is said to have high fiber content, which can help keep you full for longer. It’s light snacking that can help you stave off hunger until the next meal!
2. Simple Mills Crackers
When we want high-protein vegan snacks, we go for crackers. These Rosemary & Sea Salt Almond Flour Crackers from Simple Mills have 3 grams of plant-based protein per serving! They’ve also got Vitamin E, iron, and potassium. These are salty and healthy vegan snacks indeed!
If you want a slightly heavier snack, crackers are great. You can have them as they are or with a spread or a dip. You can add more toppings or use them to make tiny sandwiches, too!
For the Sweet Cravings
3. Yum Earth Sweets
Yum Earth sweets are absolutely yummers for a reason. They skip using artificial ingredients in favor of all-natural ones. Just look at their Organic Chewys Fruit Chews! They’re plant-based gummies free of dairy, gluten, nuts, and soy. All natural is all good!
We’re also suckers for Yum Earth’s Organic Lollipops. These assorted pops come in pomegranate, peach, strawberry, and cherry variants - made with all natural flavors, of course!
4. Cocomels Caramels
These are not your grandma’s caramels - no siree! These are coconut milk caramels made with the finest organic, non-GMO, and sustainably sourced ingredients. Plus, they’re free from dairy, gluten, corn, and soy!
Get Cocomels’ Original Caramels or get the Sea Salt Caramels - both are sweet picks that we absolutely love!
For the Crunchy and Crispy Cravings
5. Rhythm Superfood Kale Chips
We can’t exclude chips from this vegan snack ideas list… we just can’t! But, these aren’t your ordinary chips - they’re made with kale. Rhythm Superfood Kale Chips have been dehydrated so that they’re crisp. This also allows the kale to lock in all their nutrients - they won’t be lost during any cooking process!
We’re particularly fond of Rhythm Superfood Kool Ranch Kale Chips. These high protein vegan snacks also have vitamin A and K!
6. Kettle Brand Potato Chips
Okay, now onto the more conventional chip… the potato chip! Crispy, crunchy, and smoky, these Backyard BBQ Potato Chips from Kettle Brand have certainly made quite an impression on us.
No artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives are used in making this bag of chips. Just skin on potato chips cooked in small batches and seasoned with natural flavors.
For the On-The-Go Cravings
7. Louisville Jerky Co. Jerky
We’re huge fans of vegan jerky. They’re packed with all the flavor but with none of the meat. Also, we think they’re superior travel food. They won’t noise up the plane or the car when you’re eating them, portion control is easier, and they are just absolutely tasty!
And while we’re talking taste, Louisville Jerky Co.has some flavors for you to choose from. Buffalo Dill, Smoked Black Pepper, and Smoky Carolina BBQ? Our mouths are watering already!
8. Dandies Marshmallows
Hear us out for a sec - marshmallows are great for eating on the trail. They’re sweet, so they give you a little boost when you need it. They’re soft and pillowy, so you can pack them down if you need bag space. They’re also lighter than hard candies and nuts. Plus, they’re great as they are and fantastic roasted over a campfire! And, c’mon - aren’t these just awesome vegan snacks for kids?
Have we convinced you yet? Well, if we have, then go for Mini Maple Flavored Marshmallows, Air-Puffed Mini Marshmallows, or their regular Air-Puffed Marshmallows! Choose one or choose them all, you can’t go wrong. All of them are free from artificial flavors or colors, corn syrup, gelatin, and gluten.
For the Family-Sized Cravings
9. Hu Crackers

Well, we’ve found Hu Crackers to be everyone’s fave healthy vegan snack. Their recipe uses a unique blend of flours, making them free from grains and gluten. What’s more, they’re also free from soy, dairy, or refined starches!
